1: Chicago Bears (via CAR): Caleb Williams, QB, USC

It’s been pretty obvious for months now that the Bears would come to the conclusion that there was no chance that they could pass on Caleb Williams here. He’s one of the very best QB prospects I’ve ever watched and will enter a team ready to win with good weapons, a young ascending OL, and one of the more respected play callers in the league.

2: Washington Commanders: Drake Maye, QB, UNC

I still do not at all buy the Jayden Daniels hype here. He is now a -400 favorite to go #2 but I don’t really care this isn’t much of a decision and I truly don’t believe that it is for Adam Peters. Maye is super talented and has many of the traits you look for. His accuracy and throw radius may be somewhat worrisome but Daniels has many more problems than Drake has. Come Thursday it has to be Drake Maye.

3: New England Patriots: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Not to continue to hate on Jayden Daniels, I am just quite low on him. I would not take him in this spot, or even in the first 15 picks, but in this league it is bound to happen. I think the Patriots are insane for taking him over Marvin Harrison Jr but this is just what I believe will happen. If the Patriots do take Daniels, he will enter a bad team that will likely induce his bad habits even further. This fit is not one I like but one I think happens.

4: Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, OSU

The Cardinals looked like they almost screwed themselves over with that win over the Eagles in Week 17, but they still will likely end up with the greatest WR prospect many of us have seen. It’s going to take a crazy package to get them off this spot, one that no team should ever even consider sending for JJ McCarthy, so I think the Cardinals stay here and pick their generational talent. Kyler gets a new weapon.

5: Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

I still don’t really believe that the Vikings are willing to give up much for JJ McCarthy. I think the only QB KoC is looking to trade up for is Drake Maye and in this exercise he was gone before they got the chance. The Chargers stick here and take the best player available. Nabers is explosive both in his routes and with the ball in his hand and gives Herbert a much much needed weapon. Joe Alt is someone I heavily considered here due to Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman’s history of being obsessed with running the football but the Chargers need for WR is much greater than their need for a OT.

6: New York Giants: JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan

Finally JJ goes off the board and not to the Vikings. The Giants direction is very confusing and while fun their 2022 season has made their future look very weird. They had no choice on whether to pay Daniel Jones but at this point it is a sunk cost and JJ is young. JJ would benefit from sitting a year and fits well in what Brian Daboll and Mike Kafka like to do with their offense. The Giants also just need more time to invest in their team before having JJ play meaningful downs. He is quite athletic and offers great mechanics and a strong arm but still his processing is often times inefficient and his decision making is even more times confusing. He needs a year to sit and learn.

7: Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

This would be awesome for the Titans and pretty awesome for Will Levis. Well actually probably not Will Levis because he isn’t good and rookie tackles are often times not too good so by the time Alt reaches the high level than myself and many others expect the QB will likely be someone else. Anyways Alt has shown great ability to win as both a pass block as well as a run game mover. He will have to add some more strength on his anchor against power but his length and angles make him very hard to beat. I think the fit next to Peter Skoronski will make the Titans run game pretty awesome.

8: Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama

In my personal opinion Laiatu Latu is the best edge rusher in this class but Turner is younger and tested super well. I think the fit on the same side as Grady Jarrett could be very scary for opposing OLs and will help out a Falcons pass rush that has been often times brutal recently.

9: Chicago Bears: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

After adding Caleb Williams to the team, the Bears add another weapon to try and help Caleb’s development. The Bears did already trade for Keenan Allen, but Allen is 32 and has not yet been extended. Adding Odunze allows the Bears to upgrade their WR room for the present and the future. Odunze is an extremely gifted receiver who can separate and win contested balls. He has the ability to flash his hands late to throw off corners and is strong at the catch point. Adding him would give Caleb Williams one of the very best pass catching groups in football.

10: New York Jets: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

The Jets seemed to be an obvious tackle spot but added Morgan Moses and Tyron Smith getting rid of that need. I could still see a Fuaga or Fautana fit here allowing them to play inside and replace one of the older tackles in the future but given Aaron Rodgers getting old I think they will continue to try and build a win now roster and bulk up on weapons for Rodgers. Bowers is special type of TE prospect who can lineup in multiple spots and is a great route runner and pass catcher. He would be a huge compliment to Garrett Wilson but will be interesting to see if it sees Rodgers throw more to the middle of the field.

11: Cincinnati Bengals (via MIN): Taliese Fuaga, OT/OG, Oregon State

Minnesota seems like an obvious trade up spot to many but I do not see them giving up multiple picks to trade up for JJ McCarthy. That leaves them with Bo Nix and Michael Penix as QB options but I don’t think Kwesi will want to take either of those guys at 11. Here come the Bengals who always seem like they need to add on the OL. Fuaga seems prefect for that who can probably play tackle but seems like could be an all-pro guard. Think Teven Jenkins. Bengals can keep Trent Brown at RT and put Fuaga at guard and if they ever wanted to could move him to tackle.

12: Denver Broncos: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

Latu is pretty awesome. He has all the traits you would want from a EDGE rusher. His problem will come with his injury history. Injuries are fairly hard to predict so I won’t try to and just allow the Broncos to take a chance on all those traits. Broncos seems far away from winning so Latu can have time to develop but I have a feeling he will be pretty dominant pretty soon.

13: Las Vegas Raiders: JC Latham, OT, Alabama

I am not the highest on Latham but he does have elite size and strength. I see some issues with his balance and getting pushed off his spot but he still has elite traits that some team should add. The Raiders have tried multiple seasons with Jermaine Elumenor at RT and that didn’t go poorly but not very well and can now try and lock down their tackles for the future. Latham and Kolton Miller could provide great protection for a future QB, whoever that may be.

14: New Orleans Saints: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State

The Saints tried that whole thing with Trevor Penning after allowing Terron Armstead to go but it may just be time to eat that sunk cost and have another go at acquiring a franchise LT. Fashanu is probably my favorite tackle in this class due to his pass block ability. I think he is the best pass blocker in this class but his problems do come in run game. Still the Saints had trouble protecting Derek Carr last season and should attempt to fix that.

15: Los Angeles Rams (via IND): Johnny Newton, DT, Illinois

Newton is a stud. He is able to win and line up in multiple spots all while playing on a DL where he stuck out. Newton is so good at using his hands to gain leverage and beat linemen and is the perfect player to go in and replace the best who has ever done it.

16: Seattle Seahawks: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State

The Seahawks really could use a center but I think 16 may be too rich for one even though Jackson Powers Johnson is a stud. Instead I think they go Verse here who is not the flashiest prospect but will likely come in and be quickly efficient due to his pure ability to win with power. He will have to develop some other ways of winning and improve his bend but his floor is quite high.

17: Jacksonville Jaguars: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

Arnold is probably my favorite corner in this class. His ball skills and awareness make him a super intriguing prospect who has super high upside. Tyson Campbell has had some good play in the league but the Jaguars need another corner for the future and Arnold falling to them is perfect.

18: Minnesota Vikings (via CIN): Bo Nix, QB, Oregon

The Vikings still obviously need a QB, I just still do not see them trading genuine capital for JJ or really anyone who isn’t Drake Maye. Nix still fits the system KoC wants to run and has shown ability in and out of structure. He will enter a super talented offense to help him ease into the league but he has to traits to be a good starter who you can get surplus off of.

19: Indianapolis Colts: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

Mitchell burst onto the draft scene at the combine and has been mocked high ever sense. His film is still very impressive with his movement and athleticism. He is a very high ceiling prospect that could give the Colts a CB they have been waiting for. His talent is more than enough to take a chance on him at this point.

20: San Fransisco 49ers (via PIT): Brian Thomas Jr, WR, LSU

Yeah I am pretty sure Aiyuk is actually getting traded and the Steelers seem like the perfect spot for that. Aiyuk is amazing but has stalled in some big moments for the 49ers and they seem ready to move on. Thomas is a beast. His speed and route running would work super well with Purdy who has shown a super high level and ability to play on time and with top level anticipation and ball placement.

21: Miami Dolphins: Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas

The Dolphins lost Christian Wilkins to the Raiders this off-season and will probably feel very lucky that they will be able to draft one of Newton or Murphy to replace them. Murphy contains an elite lower half and the ability to burst off the line and win with power from his lower half. He also uses his hands very well to be able to leverage linemen. He is a very talented player who would fit the Dolphins very well and slot right in for Wilkins.

22: Philadelphia Eagles: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

The Eagles defense basically collapsed to end the season and formerly trustworthy corner James Bradbury started to become a problem. The Eagles are in luck with this deep corner class. The 2nd of two very talented first round Bama corners, Kool-Aid is a very smart football player who can read the game well and accelerate quickly to the ball. He is a good ball tracker and plays with good balance to succeed in zone. His feet can get sloppy but the Eagles can let him develop while Bradbury eases his way out of starting time.

23: Minnesota Vikings (via CLV): Cooper DeJean, CB/S, Iowa

The Vikings are another team with a corner need and likely soon a safety need once Harrison Smith calls it a career. Who better to fill in that Cooper DeJean, and not just because he is white. He is a good football player with positional versatility and can be a high level punt returner.

24: Dallas Cowboys: Graham Barton, OL, Duke

The OL tag on Barton is not on accident who can play tackle and center and thus probably guard too. The Cowboys lost Tyron Smith and have now moved LG Tyler Smith to LT. If that goes poorly you could always try and move Barton to tackle but also the need for a LG and a C is pretty noticeable on the Cowboys OL. Barton’s positional versatility on the OL with the Cowboys OL questions makes this fit work well.

25: Green Bay Packers: Troy Fautanu, OT, Washington

Fautanu is super athletic and can also likely play along the OL as we now see with many OL prospects. He sometimes also longer pass rushers to get into his chest and push him off balance but recovers very well most of the time. The Packers have Zach Tom who is very good but otherwise could use upgrades on Rasheed Walker and Sean Rhyan. Walker played well last season but Fautanu is talented enough to give that a go and see where he can play and make an impact.

26: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon

I probably have JPJ going too low because he is truly one of the best centers I’ve scouted. Center being a low surplus position is how this level of talent drops into the mid 20s but the Buccaneers won’t complain. They can upgrade a position of need with one of the best options.

27: Kansas City Chiefs: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

Mitchell’s numbers are a spot to have some concern but his play is hard to ignore. His footwork and smoothness in routes while understanding leverage is very special. Quinn Ewers did his best to hurt Mitchell’s draft stock, as did some of his low effort plays, whether by design or not. Still, Mitchell is very talented and I have no doubt will become a stud with Mahomes if this were to happen.

28: Buffalo Bills: Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon

The Bills need for a WR may be the most obvious need in the entire class. After trading Diggs and losing Gabe Davis the Bills are in need for a WR. They would be livid if the Chiefs pulled this in real life and took a WR that seems perfect for Allen. Still Franklin is a field stretcher with elite ability in his route and with the ball in his hands. Allen will make this talent work as the Bills continue to target surplus at the WR position.

29: Detroit Lions: Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State

Aidan Hutchinson has been very good for the Lions, as has Alim McNeil but it seems like they are missing that one more dominant pass rusher on that DL. Marcus Davenport likely plays 3 games but would allow for Chop to develop in. His traits are pretty special and being able to face many island pass rushes will allow him to use his speed and technique to win.

30: Baltimore Ravens: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

The Ravens could use another tackle and Mims could provide further protection for Lamar Jackson. Mims is a giant human and possess great length and a super strong base in pass pro. He is though inexperienced and has trouble in run game. His traits however are impossible to ignore.

31: San Fransisco 49ers: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

Having already replaced Aiyuk with Thomas Jr earlier in this draft, the 49ers now look to improve their OL. One of the more underrated bad groups in football is the 49ers OL who Brock Purdy made look much better than it actually was. Guyton can slide in at RT and while he is more of a project, can improve the 49ers OL soon. He is big and athletic which is sometimes not a great thing with him as he has trouble getting down and using his lower half in pass pro.

32: Arizona Cardinals (via KC): Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas

I know that the Cardinals already took Marv but imagine pairing Marv with Worthy. That would be an unbelievably dynamic and super fun group to watch next season. Worthy is more than just his record 4.21 speed and can be productive right away.
